“Old Glory”

American Flag

“Oh, say does that star spangled banner yet
wave, o’er the land of the free….and the home
of the brave.” Francis Scott Key – 1814.
Since adopted in 1777, the flag has inspired
countless millions, both at home and abroad,
yearning to be free. Display it proudly to
celebrate our independence as “one nation,
under God.”

Community Information

Gutter Cleaning & Guards: Spring gutter cleaning on all community buildings was completed in early June. Gutters on Building # 27 (700-708 Braeburn) were reinforced to (hopefully) prevent a reoccurrence of winter ice damage. Gutter guards will be installed on one townhome for evaluation purposes. If they work well, special pricing may be available to all residents for future installation.

Community Pool: The Clubhouse pool is now open and heated for your enjoyment. Please be sure to review the community’s pool use guidelines in the HOA Rules & Regulations.

Clubhouse items: Spring tune-up of the HVAC system has been completed, with only a minor coolant issue found and resolved. For information, the HOA has an annual maintenance agreement with WK Mechanical of Monroe, NY for twice-annual service and discounted parts and service.

When using the Clubhouse, please be sure that both front and back doors are locked and that all lights are off when you leave (note that the Sales Office keeps the
Clubhouse open on weekend days). Also, if you use the kitchen, please verify that all appliances (especially the gas stove) are cleaned and properly shut off. Please note that when bringing guests to use either the Clubhouse or the pool, you must sign your guests into the Log Book which is on the credenza along the south wall in the main room.

Memorial Day Block Party

The Memorial Day Block Party was a huge success with a great turnout. The rainy skies cleared just before the party got underway, allowing the food and drink to flow, and the friendship of neighbors to shine. A great time was had by all!!

Developers Corner

Interior finishing work continues at 504 Braeburn, the future home of Maureen & Tom Burke from Shahola, with closing estimated for July 2017. Two additional interior units in Building 25 on Braeburn are under contract, 502 for Mary Bates and 506 for Colleen Henderson. The foundation is in for new building #23 and additional work, framing and exterior finishing will continue as quickly as practical through the summer and fall of this year.

Coupled with more aggressive marketing and improved real estate market, the developer now plans to begin a program of fully finishing one interior and one exterior unit as “spec” homes to facilitate nearly immediate availability. The first two spec homes will be one of the interior units on the river, and the end unit in Building 25. This is intended to be an ongoing program where as spec
